For the 9th year in a row, Horizon Financial Group will be honored as one of the LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses. Horizon, one of only four companies to make the list every year since the program’s inception, will be recognized during the LSU 100 Honoree Dinner, scheduled for Friday, November 22nd, at the L’Auberge Casino Hotel Baton Rouge.
The LSU 100 is hosted by the LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute (SEI), housed in the E. J. Ourso College of Business. The event identifies, recognizes and celebrates the 100 fastest growing companies owned or led by former LSU students and alumni.
“We are once again honored to be selected to the LSU Top 100, and being one of only four companies to have made the list all nine years is truly something special, “said Horizon CEO Pete Bush. “We are seeing continual growth because we’ve got a special team of people who enjoy being a trusted resource and helping others figure things out, eliminate their worries and lead happier, more confident lives. When you do that consistently over time, word spreads and you attract ever-growing opportunities to help others. We appreciate being recognized by LSU for this growth and hope to be part of the LSU 100 for many years to come!”
Horizon Financial Group was selected as one of the 2019 LSU 100 honorees based upon its compounded annual growth rate from 2016-2018. Other requirements for eligibility include having been in business for at least five years as of 2019, having verifiable revenues of at least $100,000 or more for each of the years measured, and having a former LSU student or alumnus either own 50% or more of the company or serve as the company’s chief executive for each of the years measured.
All three partners at Horizon Financial Group are LSU graduates: Pete Bush (’90), Andy Bush (’95), and Brooke Gautreau (‘03).
